How to Keep White Linen Bedding Bright
Chic and versatile, white linen bedding is the perfect foundation for the ultimate classic look that’s simply irresistible. High-quality linen fabric is sturdy and durable and requires just a few steps to keep them looking white and bright.

    Separate White Linen
    • Wash white bedding separately and never mix with any clothing or blankets.
    • Prep before laundering by buttoning or zipping up a duvet cover.
    • Wash in lukewarm water. Hot water weakens the linen fibers and may cause shrinkage.
    • Use gentle wash cycle and do not overload your washing machine.
    • Drying linen: tumble dry on low heat and remove from dryer when slightly damp. Finish the drying process by line drying in the sun for an amazing fresh smell.

    Launder Regularly
Once a week is ideal to keep white bedding fresh and clean.

    Stay away from Bleach
Bleach is a no-no for laundering white linens. Over time, chlorine bleach is quite harsh and will weaken linen fibers and cause yellowing. Use simple, environmentally friendly and natural solutions already found in your home to brighten up those linens:
Lemon Juice: add 1/4 cup of lemon juice to your washing machine along with your detergent to get your whites, white. The citric acid will work overtime on those stains during the wash cycle.
Baking Soda + Vinegar: as natural brighteners, add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your load along with your regular detergent. Take it one step further and pour 1/2 cup of white vinegar to your fabric softener compartment for a boost of brightness.

    Treat the Stain ASAP!
The tip to removing stains is to do it as soon as it happens. If you let the stain linger, they will absorb deep into the fibers and become challenging to remove. For minor spotting, treat area with detergent / dish soap and gently massage until the stain has disappeared. More challenging stains might come off by sprinkling baking soda and a few drops of white vinegar on the fabric. Let sit for a few minutes and then blot with paper towel. Launder as normal.

    Wash your Face before Bed
Facial creams and makeup can cause your beautiful white linen pillowcase to turn yellow. To keep your linen cases pearly white, simply wash your face before bed.
